NIMBY is an acronym of Not-In-My-Back-Yard, and usually associated with an opposition against the construction of infrastructure facilities or human service facilities by residents. Developers often accuse people of opponents for their NIMBYism as selfishness and often taken up as a problematic social phenomenon. However, some argue that NIMBYism is not valid. This essay will consider the arguments by concentrating on the wind farm development and the opposition towards the construction.
